About HNBR

Due to the increasingly high requirements for energy saving, environmental protection, comfort and safety of modern automobiles, the structure of the whole engine chamber is complex and compact, and the working temperature is high. The rubber parts should have the performance of high temperature resistance. With the improvement of engine lubrication technology, new additives have been used in lubricating oil, so higher requirements have been put forward for the oil resistance of rubber parts in engine.

On the other hand, longer maintenance period requires more and more durability of rubber parts.The modern automotive requires that the rubber parts can be in -40℃ ~ +150℃ under certain oil resistance conditions. The transmission belt is an important rubber part of the automobile, including the timing belt of the OHC engine, the automotive V belt and the poly v belt for the automobile auxiliary transmission, and the variable speed belt for the newly developed continuously variable speed mechanism (CTV). Since the first patent of HNBR was published in 1975, HNBR has gradually become the preferred standard elastomer material for automotive synchronous belt production in the world today.
